Stream restoration is very different from other wetland restoration. Our planned resources for this subject are currently and temporarily outlined under the Resources page in these areas:
Stream Classification vs Restoration
One of the most controversial and often cited methodologies for restoration is the Rosgen method. Rosgen actually developed a stream classification system but it has been used to define what particular reaches of streams should be restored to, and not always with success. In more recent years restoration professionals have slowed their use of Rosgen's classifcations to guide their restoration plans.[1]
